Colour Rendering Index (CRI) (up to 100) is a measure for comparing how different kind of lamps show colours for human sight.
Traditional mercury steam lamps have a Colour Rendering Index equal to 45. High colour rendering index that hiLED lamps show, higher than 80, allow to percept colours easily, and as a result humans feel more comfortable in environments illuminated with this kind of light.
Homogeneity showed by hiLED lamps, caused by their long life, allow high quality and light levels through the whole lamp’s life, in contrast to traditional lamps, which show an important light reduction after few months working.
Importance of Colour Rendering Index is really high because this factor is directly connected to human eye’s perception. As higher CRI is, more vision capacity for people.
